Room with a view.

Playing around with an old camera that was buried in a box in a dusty corner of the garage.

Have seen some beautiful photo's on ETSY that combine the use of an old camera with a digital camera.

My attempts at this technique were dodgy at best, electricians tape kept peeling away from my handmade light shield! Not sure if the baking paper was an effective view finder either. Still, I might give it another go sometime after I've improved the rig.

Hand loomed.

Autumn time and I'm feeling earthy. Have just planted a dozen tulip bulbs and a sea of sweet peas.

The purses are slowly evolving and stocks are gradually growing. The past month or so has seen me trying to be resourceful without a car. Funny how that transpires into you trawling the internet for fabrics, rather than through your fav fabric shops.

As it turns out, i have found some stunning hand loomed hemp. The natural striations of the threads along with the subtle colour result in a very special little find. This ancient fibre still has a place in this crazy mixed up modern world we live in. Hopefully I can do it some justice with the Singer.

Change of season??

Could feel the slightest hint of a season change today. Down by the sea with the toddler... and felt a distinct difference in the breeze. Not the balmy, just opened the oven door kinda breeze, but more the, 'there's a change a coming' kinda breeze.

So I'm feeling, there may be a change on the breeze, a new design perhaps? I will surrender myself to the wind and see what comes of it!!

Currently baking some yummy granola for breakfast. This hint of change has awakened my taste buds. It's been a while since I've had a bake off, but looking forward to waking up in the morning.

Since my last post, I have cut a new stencil, which took about four hours all up. I wanted to incorporate a bit of Aussie flavour to my clutches, hence the brolga bird, our own proud stork.

Still wanting to bring Bondi into my designs without being too obvious. Will oil the cogs and try to create something soon.

Back to reality.

After two glorious weeks camping on the Mid-north coast, it is straight back to reality here in Bondi. I am feeling recharged and ready to plunge into some crafty designs for you to enjoy.

I added another little coin purse today. The black on natural linen would suit the earthy among us.

The new little purse has arrived

After finally locating some little frames from a shop on the south coast, I have been able to knock up a few smaller versions of my clutch purses. They are fun to make and seem to be a bit of a hit with the family.
